Discusses raids pueblos, churches Fuerte Valley; aid sent by southern Sinaloa settlements. Describes shortages provisions, funds province, personal finances, due to expenses pacification Indians ysla de California (California still an Island 1740). Notes relief expected from Nueva Vizcaya under Ydoyaga, from Janos under Carpio. Describes ambush vecinos Echojoa in Santa Cruz. States Indian rebels control 30 pueblos, including most along Lower Rios Yaqui, Mayo, Fuerte; that mines Sicurijoa, Alamos, Baroyeca, Rio Chico, Potrero, Ventana abandoned, that commerce/ communication with Sonora impossible; that over 185 leagues held by rebels, that at least 12-14,000 Indians in revolt. States these leaders sent back to Sinaloa-Sonora to help quell revolt; given titles captain, Alferez, Yaqui nation by Audiencia Guadalajara. Discusses Yaqui-Mayo-Pima Bajo rebellion Sinaloa; says relief from Nueva Vizcaya delayed because of food shortages, dry springs caused by drought. Describes efforts to organize relief expedition among vecinos, soldiers, Indians, including Nortenos, Sibolas, Tarahumaras.
