In response to a charge that the Piros planning to revolt. Indian testimony (including name, 'nacion', residecy, age, occupation and marital status). Ten Piros confess, saying they were motivated by the arguments of two Teguas from New Mexico who asked them to join their people, who lived without government, religious tutelage, or Spaniards. Three ringleaders are tortured, confess to all charges, and admit that a troop of Piros is readying to attack the Mansos. (R. Perez) (1977)

The cedula concerns the establishment of two presidios in Durango to protect the silver shipments coming from Parral. There follows several autos, informes sent to the king, telling of the need for such a step. A brief, very brief, glance at the document indicates valuable information on society, both Spanish and Indian, in this area. Should be reread in depth.
