Diary of a 5 month campaign against the Apaches. Details encounters, especially noting number of enemy killed and captured. An epidemic of measles is in full force among the Apaches- many rancherias are found full of corpses. An escaped prisoner lists the missions from which a majority of Apache prisoners were captured.
