Summary
1634 inhabitants reduced pueblos Guazapares, Temoris, Valle Umbroso, located narrow valleys Sierra Madre. Linguistically, culturally related to Warihios, although language closer to Tarahumara because of proximity. Gentile Indians in area process being reduced. Describes other warihio pueblos to east-guazaromes, Zerocavi, Quecamuri, Balopilas, goaguachi, Xiquiriepo-with 3213 newly baptized inhabitants awaiting reduction. These towns on Tarahumara, Pima Bajo, Tepehuan frontier. Geographical locations noted. Area isolated by mountainous terrain. (T. Sheridan) (1976)
