Account of misbehavior of Joseph Miguel, an Apache Indian raised in mission but who has chosen to live with Gentiles as an Apostate. Taken prisioner. Request by governor for instruction on his authority to proceed with this case. Padres have requested that governor banish Joseph Miguel to mines and governor is willing to do this if higher authorities give their permission. (T. Cederstrom, October 1986)
