Summary
Letters informing Castro of completion of orders sent by himself or governor or reasons why orders not followed. Bujanos acknowledges orders to suspend March of his squad. Agrees to method of operations and behavior during peacetime including fair treatment of Indians. Follows order allowing soldiers to retain arms and authority delegated to them. says difficult to follow orders due to Indian hostility. Includes letters introducing monthly updates on conditions of troops and relevant battles. Includes account of each soldier completing duty or unable to complete. (M. Dannemiller, September 1988)
