Notes governor of California Barri's request 30 Spaniards to serve as soldiers, establish settlements, 100 Indians from Rios Sinaloa, Fuerte, Mayo to work mines. Magistrates 3 rivers instructed to persuade, but not force, Indians to migrate to California. States many Indians Rios Sinaloa, Fuerte lost fields, cattle to flood last October, may be induced to migrate to obtain new land. (T. Sheridan, 1976)
