Letters to virrey concerning: urgent need for gunpowder; detailed description of murder of soldiers by Indians and unsuccessful campaign against them; mention of Ripperda's ineptitude and conflict with Tovar, it becomes a major theme throughout the documents; request for men to enlarge company at Bexar; lack of provisions and request for men to cultivate the land; mention of English and French living with Indians and danger of Indians surrounding Bahia. Detailed description of prospective campaign against Indians by Tovar. Copy of correspondence between Tovar and Ripperda concerning different matters related to war with Indians; mentions construction of a fort; provides detailed description of siege of Rosario by Indians; notes iron bars taken by Indians as incident that had to be directed by European.
