Series of documents dealing with Mescalero uprising in Coahuila, resettlement of some to Cohahuila, and desire among Ugarte and Ugalde for better cooperation. Ugalde requests assistance of some of Ugarte's troops for the better control of Indians in the area. Ugarte agrees to lend troops although this may negatively affect his control of the Indians in his jurisdiction. Many of the letters deal with discussion of the time and place for meeting between the two commanders. Both express good will toward each other and express benefits that may result from such meeting.
