Summary
Concerns raid against Apaches who killed two correo soldiers from presidio of Janos. Commander from San Buenaventura is promoted to captains for heroic actions carried out against Apaches. Viceroy orders to replace weapons and other items lost capotas, sables, Adargas etc.). Series of testimonies are taken from soldiers in an effort to assess the extent of the loss. Soldiers testify that Indians took their horses and weapons and left. (M.marroquin, may 1989)
