Summary
In documents dated March 2, 16 and 24, 1649 we find that Francisco de Icaguirre bought six mules from Francisco de Salas in Durango and that he had them put out to pasture, under the care of Pedro Lopez. Three of the mules have died and Francisco de Icaguierre first accuses Pedro, but a witness appears to state that an Indian whom Pedro had told to oversee the mules is responsible for treating the mules so cruely.
