Cabildo de Santa Fe petitioned governor to prohibit settler's exchange of horses with Jicarilla Apaches at Rate of 2 or 3 horses for a muchacho or muchacha. Auto issued ordering Alcaldes mayores to enforce ban. Preference stated for those of Spanish blood rather than those of color populate the kingdom. (R. Saba) (1980)
