Ortiz accuses Maese of assaulting both their wives and Ortiz. The Alcalde ordinario, Garzia, takes testimony from Ortiz and Maese and then orders both of them to maintain perpetual silence on the matter, under Pain of two years exile to the frontier of Acoma, and the fine of fifty pesos, each.
