Summary
The cabildo has written to Tagle asking him why he has been taking a census of the parishioners. Tagle replies stating that in his position as Juez eclesiastico, he is required by the law of the king to do so. And he refers the cabildo to the law, quoting book and regulation. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)
