Summary
The Apaches (Faraones) have committed grave depredations. The governor calls a council of war, and it is decided to wage a punitive campaign against them, of about two months duration. The governor makes note of a report that the Jicarilla Indians and the Apaches (Faraones) are enemies, and proposes to enlist the aid of the Jicarillas in the campaign against the Apaches.
