Viceroy Linares reviews reports from captain Naranjo that French are threatening New Mexico frontier and that governor Mogollon is apparently hesitant to act. Viceroy orders report of Naranjo and fray Miranda to be forwarded with no interference from governor. (R. Davis) (1980)
