Series of documents dealing with two interrelated problems of Spanish-Indian relations. (1) proceedings against Garsia Jurado (Alcalde mayor of Bernalillo) and others for mistreating Indian from Santa Ana, Francisco Morones, accused of witchcraft. (2) case against Morones and others re witchcraft. Highly interesting and revealing testimony of Juman o Suma, self-proclaimed curandero, who has a colored stone which can both cure and uncover witches and their hechicerias. He pointed out Morones as Garsia's Hechicero. Proceedings incomplete. No judgement. (Raul Saba) (1980)
