Summary
Monthly report of cavalry at Bexar. The officers are named and their location. The actions and missions of the troop are explained day by day. Indian scouts sent out who encounter Comanches trail. Cabello determined to attack the Indians at daybreak the next day. 167 men were to take part in the operation. He discusses his worry over leaving the presidio unmanned. Valdes' reports upon the operation as written by Cabello. Numbers of dead Indians, and livestock captured are included. Also the finding of belongings of two killed Spaniards are found on the Indians. Division of the captured goods is given. (D. Coates) (1979)
