DEATH: SHOT ALONG WITH ALLENDE; HIS HEAD WAS CUT OFF, PACKED IN SALT AND TAKEN TO GUANAJUATO WHERE HIDALGO'S FORCES HAD ATTACKED THE GRANARY A YEAR PREVIOUSLY. THE HEAD WAS PUT ON DISPLAY THERE. ON SEPT. 16, 1925, HIS REMAINS WERE REMOVED TO INDEPENDENCE COLUMN IN MEXICO CITY.
