Western and territorial research opportunities in Trans-Mississippi federal records centers

To reduce pressure on the National Archives in Washington, legislation was passed by Congress in 1950 providing for the creation of 14 federal records centers in key geographical areas. Many federal records dealing with Arizona can be found in the Los Angeles Federal Records Center
