The country above Wolvefontein is covered with a very low shrub and is overrun with sheep. Appearance about as a level sage area of Nevada. Just below the Euphorbias, Acacia giraffii and an Opuntia ficus indica with Ziziphus enter and a little farther down at or above Glenconnor (722 ft. el) (64 m from P. Elizabeth) forms a relatively dense thicket (here called bush).Shows low stuff in fore but the above type in back. [Shantz travel journal, Aug. 30, 1919]
