The principal tree of the Addo bush, Euclea, probably undulata, known as Guarri - a small evergreen tree with small edible berries. These are eaten by elephants and man. Also important is the Schotia, which is covered with Usnea. Sansevieria, bowstring hemp is abundant under all the brush. And Crassula also common. [Shantz travel journal, Sep. 5, 1919]
