The yellow gladiolus - large fine flowers, 1/3 natural size. [Shantz travel journal, Jan. 13, 1920] Gladiolus - a fine yellow flowering form - grows in very wet soil. Those found in wettest soil seem to have purest yellow color. [Shantz travel journal, Jan. 16, 1920]
