Description
A tall grass very abundant on the higher land, seed not yet collected, & Shantz. Along the bottom rich land the grasses grow very rank and tall. All the grasses collected on this date are important. They are largely coarse and seem for the most part to be good forage grasses. ... Sorghum not cultivated and not used - but shows up abundantly along river bottom. The plants are very tall, due partly to the surrounding grasses which are also very tall. [Shantz travel journal, Jan. 14, 1920]
