A large Kigelia in the fore on bank - grassland in back, river bank in fore covered with trees etc. The palm mungazi is the outstanding thing, but Kigelia very prominent. Arundinaria along the water's edge. A rather sharp bend in river - past conglomerate hills and bend nearly north. [Shantz travel journal, Jan. 17, 1920]
