Grass in fore is short and dry. Trees are mostly eucalyptus like. In the back the tall grass is Cymbopogon, about 7 ft. tall and forms the grassland at base of the hills. Trees and grass on the hills behind. This area is a luxuriant grassland with an open small tree cover. It is well supplied with water for a short time, but suffers long droughts, chiefly from July to November. [Shantz travel journal, Feb. 23, 1920]
