Shows men dancing with women looking on at the right - banana leaf men in fore. The body of the dancer is white clay to the waist and this decorated by being scraped off. Ostrich plumes fitted under the nose and leading back over the head, white & black, are used. A monkey or lion skin is often used to form a tall skin hat. Wear only a string of beads around the waist. Each carries a spear and shield and a long knife. Women wear many neck, arm, and leg ornaments of metal & brass, skirts of tanned goat skin - no hair - decorated with beads. These women are not married but each has a man - but must have no children until she is married. [Shantz travel journal, May 23, 1920]
