Concerns petition to relocate presidio del sacramento to the area of Ayacacho and loma pintada; description of the neighboring area is given. Other presidios in this area are mentioned. Strategic position is given as a reason for relocation; some of these reason are economical, military, topographic position and personnel for the presidio. Documents repeat narration of initial reconaissance and expeditions made by Garza Falcon by the time of the selection of site for Sacramento presidio (summary of document can be found in folio 302). Summary
Series of documents dealing with gubernatorial correspondence against Indians, prisoners are taken, 32 casualties are inflicted on Indian forces including women and children; Capitancillo antel turned himself in after his Father capitancillo Chiquito was devoured by a bear; military campaign is launched against Indians who had stolen horses, actions left several soldiers killed by Indians in a prolonged battle; Lipanes surrendered and went to live at the presidios after they were offered good treatment; report is given that Indians are engaged in a controversy among themselves, situation that would favor an alliance with Spaniards; statistical chart showing number of Indians who are in peace with Spaniards, chart includes men, women and children in rancherias which are named with the name of the Indian leader. Concerns summary of Camano's logbook in his exploration trip around San Blas, but is not chronological and is incomplete. He describes physical characteristics, war tools, man and woman physical traits, man and woman adornments, weapons, fish and hunting tools of the Indians. Types of trees, animals, fishes, plants, and metals are also described. Emphasis is given to good looking physical appearance of the Indians as well as to their easy going attitude towards the Espanoles. (R. Gomez, September 1989)
