Examines the report sent by escandor and offers steps to be taken as a result. Among points discussed in original Escandon report are- 1) resettlement of town of Camargo to a different and better location. 2) number of people, livestock, seed, etc. In Reynosa, Burgos, San Fernando, Mier, Revilla and Dolores. 3) support of priests by Indian contributions of corn. 4) incoming settlers to increase Spanish population. 5) reduction of Pame Indians, and those in Santander. 6) lack of priests. For the good of citizens of San Fernando, Barrios y Jaurigue has ordered that 1) all property owners apply for new titles; 2) discontinuance of the labor for corn; 3) discontinuance of trade between the Indians and the governor and soldiers. The citizens desire to repeal these acts, showing that the acts are beneficial to the town. Some information on crops grown. Shows relationships between various sectors of town. Summary
A register or ledger used to record orders and circulars, issued by the national government of newly independent Mexico, the comandante general of the Provincias Internas, and the governor of New Mexico. Documents copied deal with military matters - acquisition of bear skins for military hats, voluntary contribution to support the army, and regulations on how to deal with army deserters; internal matters - means to deal with the Navajo who were in rebellion and a revolt in Nueva Santander; economics - the exemption of printing equipment from the sales tax; legal - actions to be taken against a subversive Author, and how to deal with debtors; and political - a list of deputies elected to national congress, a religious holiday to memorialize those who died in the independence wars, honors awarded to Iturbide, and the naming of Antonio Cordero as comandante general of the Provincias Internas.
