Letters from Nava to virrey concerning military promotions. Bernardino is designated lieutenant to segunda compania volante; Rodriguez is designated Alferez to presidio de aguafuerte. Saenz, Pacheco and Alvarez are sent to peninsula de California as prisoners because they are said to have killed two Indians Apaches in peace. Because a conflict between Mier y Trespalacios and del Hierro an official a statement is made by which dependents of la Renta del Tabaco are declared as having civil privileges (gozan de fuero). Disagreement over murder of Indian capitan Saz angers Indians who force group to leave keeping one of their horses.
