Antonio Lascano files a complaint against the Alcalde mayor (Saenz Moreno) and his comisario (Prudencio Chavez) by appealing to the gobernador. Lascano says Chavez and Joseph Baca came to his house with 30 armed men plus Indian archers to take him and his family prisoners. His wife and daughters were taken to Parral con carves descubiertas. the Alcalde mayor says Lascano was living illegally on land sold to Baca by Sanchez, and sends testimony of a testigos to the governor demonstrating that Lascano is a troublemaker, carries arms illegally, and shows no respect to the justicias. Juan Joseph de Rosales, mulato, indio, zambo, o Coyote- age 32 is Charged with robbery of mules and horses, insultos a la justicia, robberies and homicides, and vagrancy. He is the Head of a group who live by thievery, some are in the carcel in Villa de Chiguagua while those with Rosales escaped from the aforementioned carcel. When he is caught, Rosales is riding a horse with Pedro Domingo de jugos brand. Pedro Coronado sends the autos on to the gobernador. (P. Hayes) (1977)

Isidro de Bera and several Vaqueros are out rounding up cattle when they encounter a band of Tarahumara living on their hacienda, killing cattle. In the ensuing battle 2 Vaqueros are killed and one is wounded. Several Tarahumara are killed, and the remaining men escape. Bera rounds up the women and children.
