Establishment of a chaplain in presidio of terrate. Monthly postal service established in el Rosario, Guadalaxara and vicinities (ff. 66-69-75-76). Indians from el Rosario, request a captain to govern and protect them from enemy's attacks. Governor informs about problems he had to issue his report on situation of provinces under his authority. Report on Droughts and floods that ruined Sinaloa in 1770. Request that visita be called off. Report that a campaign against Apaches was delayed due to problems with the horses. Series of documents concerning complaints of Indians from Bacadeguachi because of mistreatment and little food they get from missionary of that jurisdiction. Governor of Sonora gives account of need for postal service within provinces under his authority. Construction of a ditch for irrigation. Military groups and officials existing in Sinaloa and Sonora. Summary
Informs Croix of journey to Belen, where he exhorted recently conquered Sibubapas to remain in Belen because of all advantages enjoyed there. Subabapas thru governor Mayusca indicated desire to return to Suaqui, stated unable to plant because of lack seeds, oxen. Corbalan promises to secure such necessities. Croix agrees with Corbalan's approach. (T. Sheridan, 1976)

Because of poor harvests, soon will be unable to provide 10 fanegas grain needed as rations recently conquered Indians area. States only Ati has wheat to sell at 22 reales per Fanega. Asked Urrea for goods to barter with Indians for grain, but Urrea needs barter goods to supply own troops. Unable to obtain maize seed promised to Indians. Fears Indians will return to old way life. Summary
Corbalan's letter to Croix describes silver mining areas and discoveries of gold and silver and control of gold. Cornelio depopulated because of lack of water though rich in gold. Soldiers of Altar find gold in Aguas Frias. Aid of rations to compania de fusileros, but need to avoid expenses; transport costs, baker must be paid by compania; lack of uniforms complained of. Transport of troops by ship and details on carrying water; describes poor maritime transport service on pacific coast. Letter confirms completion of expedition; discusses availability of rations on ship for infantry. Yaquis don't grow food and need rations.
