Summary
This is a Series of five letters written by fr. Margil to Sister Francesca de los Angeles between the years 1707 and 1723. Sister Francesca seeks advice regarding fr. Diaz especially, her spiritual director whom she contemplates changing. Fr. Margil advices against this. Sr. Francesca seems to be a blood relation of fr. Margil for he calls her- Mi Hija de Mi Corazon, Mi Hija de Mi Alma. He refers to himself as- la misma nada. He begins each letter with- viva Jesus y su dolorissima Madre. They are all written from Zacatecas with the exception of that of July 12, 1713- from mision de N.S. de los Dolores. These are all original with the autograph of fr. Margil. (microfilm catalog)
