An annual contribution of 4 pesos by each indian family; that indians form their own parishes and pay indian and Spanish religious personnel, lists suggested salaries for various personnel; that they pay 30 Spanish residents (who must be married and will populate area) to serve as defense militia; that a system of community livestock be developed (provides prices of various species); that each indian own land and pay a percentage to the church; and that funds be set aside for the king, for hospitals, and to support livestock raising. Nunez writes of Galvez' merits. Description with map of rio Mayo area, including description of clothing worn by indians, and agricultural activities. Estimates a population of 2,000 indian families living in the rio Mayo area (maybe 6,000 souls). (L. L. Woodward, August 1989)

Concerns notification by Corbalan and Borfa to Bucareli about Sibubapa Indians behavior at Zuaqui. Borfa says he cannot retain Sibubapas Indians near the mission at Zuaqui. Sibubapis go to the mountains and hills in order to hunt and gather food since the mission does not have enough food to feed them. Sibubapas are described as being reticent to attend Christian mass. Copies of documents concerning notifications of construction of a church for Seris Indians at el Pitic, and rebuilding another one for Sibubapas at Zuaqui Pueblo. (R. Gomez, November, 1989)

Nava informs virrey that Lipanes de arriba are very cooperative in peace treaty; Lipanes de Abajo do not want peace. explains that de arriba habit of hunting Cibolo twice a year is cause of discord between bands. Apaches are poorly disciplined, unused to following one chief; lay of their land makes it difficult to anticipate attacks. Mentions attack by Mescaleros, supported by troop, against Comanches; conflict resolved. Texas gobernador preparing campaign against de Abajo Lipanes. Cedula from king mandating division of California missions between Franciscans and Dominicans after expulsion of Jesuits ff. 2-3; complete list of priests, with brief biographical references, to be sent to missions in Californias ff. 4-5; notice of 50 peso offering to each man; decree for founding of new missions at mouths of Xila and Colorado rivers, include synod and expense figures, names of priests ff. 6-7; discussion of need to establish missions after expulsion of Jesuits in Pimeria Alta, incidental references to Indian suplication, sickness ff. 7-8; Series of pleas to establish Dominican or Franciscan missions based on earlier entradas, or established posts ff. 7-13; description of meeting between Galvez, Papagos and Yumas, includes discussion of inter-tribal relations, and other events of Galvez entrada ff. 15-17; argument that missions needed in California to stop pirates and Russians, previously established missions better administered by Franciscans, possibility of having Dominicans run missions previously administered by Franciscans from Xalisco to Xavier de Bac, best to concentrate resources on coast, discussion of geography ff. 19-23; further decrees assigning missions in specific territories to Franciscans and Dominicans with signatures of involved parties ff. 23-26; seeks new cedula giving more money to Dominicans for clothing naked Indians, expenses, synods ff. 27-29; discussion of synod payments and viceregal offerings ff. 30-33; junta decrees edge of Dominican domain at San Juan Bautista east to Gulf of California, francscans north to San Francisco and beyond, real junta decision needed to avoid conflict between missionaries ff. 34-37. Report of Indians stealing mine products (exact mine and Mineral not given). Mentions Tarahumaras living in San Jose. Indication of preexisting animosity between Tarahumares and Apaches. Reports of Apaches chasing Tarahumares, Spaniards. Last document in this group describes in rich detail Apache ceromony, apparently a Rite of Passage for Young men, especially son of captain. Scribe named; testimony of sargent concerning desertion; testimony of Salcido, includes account of Comanche attacks; Salcido says he deserted because he was stuck with nothing to eat and no help after Indian attacks, hides in church; notice from presidio chaplain that Salcido hid out there; azarte gives Salcido two months in jail and Ten years of military service depending on good behavior; Salcido freed by virrey June 21, 1820.
