Mata Binolas given permission to take troops and 30 men from Bacoachi to attack Mal Pais Rancheria of rebels east of fronteras. Discussion of intelligence gained through Indians about rebels. Concerns military promotion of Bargas to teniente for compania presidial de San Buenaventura, and Lasso to alferes in presidio de San Francisco. Military retirements; cedulas de invalidos to soldiers of Tropas de la peninsula de California, and Monterrey and Loreto. de la Concha requests permission of retirement as governor of provincia del Nueva Mexico, and permission for returning to Espana. Indiola's donations of two hundred bulls to Apache Indians in order to help them to maintain. Nava informs the virrey about a group of Cumanches Orientales who go with Chavez to Villa de Santa Fe in order to See their relatives. (R.Gomez, January 1989)
