States inhabitants speak hogue, work in/sell crops to mines/haciendas region. Mentions group 70 people from hacienda Santiago de Toapa living in Pueblo. Inhabitants Nacori speak hoba among themselves, hegue with others. (different Opata dialects?) Otherwise, customs, religious devotion similar to Matape. Possess band musicians with trumpets, oboes, chabeboa, flutes, harp, guitar, bassoon. Mentions triumphant visit to Yaqui, Nebome pueblos. Describes Nebomes as most docile nation province. Mentions visit Opata chief Sisibotari, who pledged obedience, requested baptism for himself, his people, described as very docile. Notes presence Aiguines (Aibinos) 4-5 leagues from Sisibotari pueblos who also request conversion, are enemies Nebomes. States Nures, well disposed to christianity, and to Hurdaide in past, should be reduced as well. Describes Nure aid war materials, livestock, clothing to rebellious Tepehuanes, unrest caused by perverse tlatoles among Nures, also Yaquis, Mayos, by Cacique Coyovera. Describes expedition to Tepahues, numbering 1300, to seize Outlaw Tehuecos hiding there. Reduced Tepahues from mountain fortresses to Rio Mayo settlements, but states 2 priests can't minister to all 17,040 people there and need help (evidently C. 15,740 Mayos). Also reducing Conicaris, other cahita mountain tribe, but not enough land along Rio Mayo all 1,000 members. Requests more missionaries. Notes news alliance between Tepehuanes, Guazapares (warihio group). States 3 guazapare chiefs came to him, giving him mare (yegua), symbol of alliance, saying they could not come earlier because of war with Chinipas. Notes rumors Mineral wealth guazapare range. Discusses various Sinaloa Indian campaigns. Mentions uprising led by Simon Muni Cacique Sinaloas, who tried to ally himself with Yaquis. Muni captured, sentenced to death. Yaquis pardoned after Hurdaide punished rebels, rewarded faithful ones. Yaquis population described as 3 times larger than Mayo. Notes Yaqui desire for churches, priests. States Yaqui caciques say tribe won't be content, peaceful until missionization occurs. Mentions Nebome desire for missionization as well. Describes Nebomes as less restless and warlike than the Yaquis, industrious agriculturalists who speak tepehuan language. Notes migration 300 Nebomes a few years earlier, 160 more February, 1616, to Bamoa, Nebome settlement outside San Felipe created when group Nebomes accompanied Cabeza de Vaca to Sinaloa 1530s.
