Summary
Torres, a resident of el Savinal, but at present living in El Paso, had formerly served the Spanish crown as an interpreter among the Apaches. He has presented a request for a reimbursement of expenses he sustained while working among the Apaches, who are now peacefully established in el Savinal. A search of the records is being conducted in regard to the validity of his claim. Pertinent information is being sent to the comandante general. Also, the governor ynterino of Nueva Mexico sends to the comandante general, copies of his own service records (the governor's). (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)
