A series of letters that discuss: appointments by Gobernador Bucareli of Canales, Valles, and Concha to alferez and alcalde ordinario, alcalde ordinario ordinario, and alcalde ordinario respectively; the death of Jesus Lacedor when he became lost in the fields on December 22, 1779 and need for quadruplication of paperwork in order to certify his death administratively; trip being made by Melchor de Lorca to the capital to see Bucareli in order to defend his honor; relieving Melchor de Lorca as gobernador and installing Gonzales Santianez; Vidal de Lorca defending his honor and presenting authorized certification for his sake and the sake of his children; receipt of above letter and certifications (not included) and their submittal to the royal auditor; authority given to Verridi to relieve Vidal de Lorca of his duties and asks for Vidal de Lorca's peaceful cooperation. A series of letters between different inhabitants of the Nuevo Alferez, application filed by Prieto and Jesus Flores under the government of Gonzales de Sannanes, authority given to Herrera to act on applications mentioned above, acknowledgement of the receipt of applications by Serrano and his intention to take action on them once he has the possession of the government of Nuevo Leon, sub tenencia post left vacant now that Frevino is being promoted and his possible replacement by Yson, Fernandez, or Perea and their military service records, the proposed appointment of bochet de Onis to Alferez Segundo. Summary
A Series of letters between Vaamonde and virrey that discusses secularization of the Concepcion and Purificacion missions because of the small number of Indians in the Former and civilized nature of those within the latter and also points out that the mission of San Christobal is completely run by the colegio de Zacatecas except for military's role in preventing runaways, the method to be used in filling a vacant military chaplain post as per a royal announcement made in 1784 in San Lorenzo in the current case of a vacancy in the military group mentioned above, an order requesting that Castaneda appear before the virrey, and Vaamonde's capture of the hostile Indian Pedro Josse and Vaamonde's subsequent petition for promotion. Summary
A Series of letters written by Vaamonde and virrey concerning a promotion sought by Vaamonde and a dispute over a tax (Media with the way his petition for promotion was subverted by rumors and innuendos, his feeling that the dishonor caused to him and his family by his continuation in his current post may be the cause of his resignation, virrey's response that no action can be taken until the legal proceedings related to the case are concluded, Vaamonde's procurement of inspector Nava to conduct thorough investigation of their allegations of impropriety and thus clear his name, the impossibility of his being able to provide for family and other obligations if he is not exempted from the, media annata tax imposed on his salary, cites his predecessors exemption from tax and seeks the Same, virrey's response that his request is reasonable but that the matter is not within his domain, Vaamonde's contention that the area under his control is unproductive and does not provide a supplement to finances of Nuevo Leon.
