Autos, petitions from Ayagues and Carizos to fiscal de naturales requesting transfer and ownership of land, appointment of Jose Cayetano Salinas as their protector. Travel and incarceration of six Ayagues in Mexico City. Petition granted but not acted upon, Ayagues travel second time to Mexico City to repetition. Petition granted again but blocked by governor who claims that land belongs to Milicianos and that Salinas is an undesirable and criminal who is put in jail. Main missionaries and soldiers killed by Comanches at San Sava; reserves needed for additional support of presidios against Apaches; expeditions against Comanches and allies; distribution of arms and munitions to improve frontier security; joint program by missions and military for pacification of Indians; formation of new cabildo, Ayuntamiento de Monclova.
