Neve expresses need for equalization of salaries for same rank/position among military, religious and civil personnel. II. - lists of officers at each mission, presidio; description of terrain, Indian settlements for planning defensive positions; military escorts to establishments at Santa Barbara channel; salaries of officers/soldiers at four sailers and craftsmen on blandra Pilar, lanchas Lauretana and San Juan hepomuceno. III. - clothing; canons. IV. - armour distribution, types, purposes and accountability of funds; procedures for filling vacancies; evaluations by service reports. Ix. - requires monthly status report of each company. X. - Indian treaties. Xi. -gubernatorial functions regarding (ff. 386-390). - details on selection/training of habilitados (paymasters); accountability to real hacienda, Naval/military superiors and settlers; F. 390 consists of inventory and production data of small animals, cattle, horses, mules. A series of letters and index of letters that discuss: petition for invalid leave for Baltierrea, matters relating to Bishop Zapata, employment of Giral as royal auditor, return of charge to the bankers wife, correspondence between Yruegas and Gigedo, quadruplication of invalid status petition for Gracia, review to be conducted by the virrey, gobernador, and captain general, receipt of a message from Castaneda, appointment of Castaneda to teniente segundo de la Punta de Lampasos and the resulting administrative procedures involving the intendente de Potosi and the tesorero del salario. A Series of letters between Vaamonde and virrey that discusses secularization of the Concepcion and Purificacion missions because of the small number of Indians in the Former and civilized nature of those within the latter and also points out that the mission of San Christobal is completely run by the colegio de Zacatecas except for military's role in preventing runaways, the method to be used in filling a vacant military chaplain post as per a royal announcement made in 1784 in San Lorenzo in the current case of a vacancy in the military group mentioned above, an order requesting that Castaneda appear before the virrey, and Vaamonde's capture of the hostile Indian Pedro Josse and Vaamonde's subsequent petition for promotion. Second index covers letters 7-10, includes letters 7 and 9, the Former concerns a royal decree on exemptions from tax and the latter concerns the seizure of goods belonging to busamante. Documents concerning fernandinos missionaries shipwrecked when sailing in fragata galga. They were taken to Isla Guadalupe and then to puerto Rico where 5 died.
