Summary
Several vecinos from el Saltillo demand to be indemnified for their mules, which were confiscated by the marques de San Miguel de Aguayo in 1720 for transporting supplies to the presidio of Tejas. Aguayo argues that such confiscation was well within his faculties as gobernador of Tejas and was justified regarding the importance of the enterprise for the state (i.e., to prevent the expansion of the French colonies at the expense of the northern territories). In any event, the freight had already been paid, and in the contract was established that the owners were responsible for any casualty that might happen to the animals. The testimonies of several officers that participated in the trip confirm this position. (A. Nielsen, November 1989)

Jaumave, Mexico. January 19, 1790. 110p. Informes, autos, declaraciones. Originals, signed.
Summary
Yanes took over Jaumave and followed general's orders to change measures of corn. It was found that Rios calvillos, who Ran Jaumave before Yanes took over, had used bad judgment in buying corn badly needed to aid Villas of San Carlos and San Nicolas de la Croix. Autos and declaraciones are individual's accounts (for example, the muleteers who transported the corn). (S. Langmack October 1989)

San Phelipe, San Agustin de las Cuebas, Durango. 102p. (Approx). Letters, autos. Originals, signed, copies.
Summary
Letters primarily between Queipo and Bucareli and concern silver shipment between Chiguagua and Mexico City. Includes testimony of shipment from Parral to Chiguagua to Durango. Queipo proposes that there be two shipments of silver (to Mexico City) per year instead of one. Copies of earlier letters name Arrieros, record shipments, and cite problems of cargo theft in route. Reports incident in which silver was melted down for Garcia who subsequently lied about the silver's whereabouts. (S. Gibbs, February 1989)
