Series of documents concerning Indian hostilities in Nueva Vizcaya and efforts to improve presidial defense, including; payment of soldiers' salaries; not enlisting Indians mulattoes or mestizos as soldiers, etc. Attacks on Yndee (Inde) Canatral specifically mentioned. Gobernador Garcia de Salcedo discusses shifts of presidial forces he has ordered to meet Indian threat. One document notes earlier founding of Cerrogordo presidio. Mention of Ramirez de Castro's campaign against Seri. Abuses of Indian labor in pueblos of Teveco and Sivirihon by capitan of Sinaloa presidio briefly discussed.
