Summary
In his memorial, Lopez informs the king of conditions in the province of New Mexico, restates his plea for missionization and settlement of the area (including much of Texas), and presents a rough plan of action. Although ethnohistorical information is scant in the memorial itself, a memorial of the maestro de campo, Juan Dominguez de Mendoza, is specifically written in the interest of ^...giving information concerning the natives of the east^.
