Summary
Bartholome, Juan Joseph, Domingo, and Xavier, all indios taramauraes, were on their way to San Joseph del Parral to sell carbon. Domingo and Xavier attacked Juan Joseph, who owed them money, killing him with knives and metal-tipped arrows. They then attacked Bartholome, but did not kill him. He bore witness against them. Saenz Moreno sends people to return the belongings of Juan Joseph to his widow- Maria Regino. She already knew of her Husband's death, saying she heard from her compadre that two mulatos had done it. The compadre was not available for questioning. (P. Hayes) (1977)
