Gobernador Vertiz y Hontanon notes widespread Indian attacks, mentions difficulties campaigning against Indians in their mountainous terrain, purposes creation of compania volante of 30 soldiers -6 from each of Nueva Vizcaya presidios- 10 Indian auxiliaries- 5 from Nasas, 5 from Conchos-to maintain constant pursuit of hostile Indians, provides detailed itinerary of such a campaign.
