Lists of supplies of foods, salary to be paid to guide, increase of daily maintenance for every person, census of families with physical description of every individual in expedition, proposals by church to marry every girl from 12 to 18 years of age and every Boy from 24 to 12 years of age. Appointment of priest to cure families, itinerary of trip. Also, lists of expenses incurred in transportation from Veracruz to San Antonio. Maps with planned areas in which such families could settle near San Antonio without conflicting with other settlers in area drawn by marquez de Aguayo in ff. 187. Summary
Orders and documents from Castilla y Theran regarding various Coahuila matters including his own merits and Indian relations. Reason for Castilla y Theran's biography to be included not mentioned. Apparently when the king named marques de Zesma was named interim governor. Most of these documents deal with Indian matters. Mention is made on ff. 120 of a decision to wage a military campaign against indios enemigos who is was said were committing many inhumane cruelties in Chihuahua. Cuellar was to lead the campaign. Reference was made to an Indian attack on some Vaqueros at San Pablo ranch; after they had corralled some 400 horses, they were set upon by some 50 Indians. Two vauqeros and an Indian were killed. A few other such confrontations are mentioned. (S. Langmack, July 1990)

Summary
Corbalan informs Croix that he sent troop Inspections and Croix responds that he has received them. Corbalan also lists monthly salaries of military personnel and Croix replies that he knows about the changes of salaries. Corbalan acknowledges merits of two officials to serve virrey. Croix relays to Corbalan requests for sick leaves for several persons. Croix appoints Velena as interim governor; Corbalan congratulates Croix on promotion; Corbalan has received letters from governor of California and commissioner of Loreto regarding need of food supplies there and an account of goods for the Monterey military expedition. Summary
Indian Pozo serves Ten years imprisonment in Chihuahua for deserting auxiliary company and causing unrest. After completing the sentence the viceroy sends him to Mexico City so as not to incite any further trouble. Cacho feels he paid his debt and learned his lesson. Aldano finds Pozo a job at his panaderia in Mexico City. (E. Wilson, October 1989)

Summary
This Series of documents deals with the conflict that arose from the excommunication of Rubalcaba made by bishop Valdes. Rubalcaba asks the governor to intercede in the excommunication. Letter from Obispo to gobernador explaining why Rubalcaba still is excommunicated and making the real Audiencia in Mexico City responsible for any change. Rubalcaba writes to the governor accusing the bishop of being against him for personal reasons. The governor sends an explanation of the problem to the real Audiencia requesting their advice. They suspend the excommunication of Rubalcaba. (D. Bautista, February 1990)

Summary
Letter form Arzobispo of Mexico City to Roma y Rossell in agreement with determinations of the construction, the bula the fiat and nomination of the obispo for the new church in Nuevo Reyno de Leon. Mier makes a certified copy of the letter from the king for the years 1618, 1620 and 1621. The king wants to know what the problem is in relation to the archbishop and the diezmos from Panuco. In a second letter, the king wants information in regard to the construction. In a third, he seeks information of the death of the dean of the church. Several letters from fiscales to jueces hacedores of the new cathedral to maintain the collection of diezmos while the king decides the place for the construction. An accounting relation of diezmos for the construction made by caxas reales in San Luis Potosi. (D. Bautista, February 1990)

Summary
Letter from Sacedon to virrey discussing the papal bull relative to the construction of the new cathedral. The king asks the virrey for more information in order to decide whether the new cathedral should be in Linares as assumed, or in Santa Rosa, Coahuila. A letter from virrey to Belena ordering him to instruct the bishop of Linares to enact laws and prepare for construction despite the possible change in location of the cathedral. Virrey orders caxas en San Luis Potosi to send money from the Diezmos account to Sacedon. (D. Bautista, February 1990)

Summary
Several letters for Belena who is responsible for territorial division of the catedrales of Guadalaxara, Valladolid and Linares. Obispo of Linares sends Belena a letter from the Pope requesting its return as soon as possible. Letter from Obispo of Guadalaxara to Belena agreeing with the division of the missions. Letter from Obispo of Michoacan to Belena introducing his representative in Mexico City for the matter of the division. 8 folios of a letter in latin concerning the edification of the new church in Nuevo Reyno de Leon. Summary
Bentura requests from the church of Valladolid information of the missions in their jurisdiction and the amount of Diezmos paid during the year. The Guadalaxara bishop writes to Belena saying that they do not have any document giving the royal right to Prieto; Belena writes to royals caxas de San Luis requesting information on the diezmos from Linares; Obispo from Linares complains in a letter to Belena of the territorial division.
