Summary
Sagarraga explains to viceroy that high prices for corn feed, due to several years of drought, have forced reduction in heads of livestock at Ibarra. To remedy this, Sagarraga proposes installation of irrigation system to produce corn at Ibarra, along with expansion of livestock herds. Major portion of documents administrative correspondence concerning financing of this project through Fondo Piadoso. (A. Tukey, July 1988)

303-312: Informe from Bucareli to director of temporalidades asking that Arroyo Zarco administrator be replaced by Aysa due to poor administration. Informe from Garay to Mangino regarding end of the ranch's seizure. Aissa asks for funds for repairs. 313-336: Montoya Garay provides inventory list to Ayssa which includes extensive and descriptive list of chapel and vestry items, household furnishings, books, kitchen goods, laborer tools, bed sheeting, store items, personal debts, farmhand salaraies, livestock. 342: Virrey grants permission that Mangino come to capital. 345-352: Escala Guller grants permission to Thomas Escala to buy and sell his properties. 353-354: Montoya aska virrey if taking horses from his own hacienda is permissible. 355-358: Mangino infoms virrey of financial losses to Arroyo Zarco caused by troops and sailors that are housed at the hacienda. Sending a boat to Isla de Lobos to get maize. Asking fr. Bartolome for horses, mules, maize, beans, wheat, flour from Potam, especially for fathers Clemente (Guillen), baco (?), because northern, southern California missions have some maize. Informs Napoli that Baroyeca miners attempting to remove prohibition against trading in Yaqui area. Feels they are right, because Napoli himself issued prohibition, sold maize to miners at high prices. Heard from seamen that Vicam enjoyed good maize crop. Encourages Napoli to help out Baroyeca, Mendivil to better relationships with civil authorities. Urges Napoli not to waste, hoard maize. (T. Sheridan) (1976)
