Summary
Order form the gobernador prohibiting the entry of any non- Indian into Indian pueblos. He establishes the penalty-a 200 peso fine, 200 lashes and hard labor in the mines. The Spanish had been entering Indian towns for a variety of reasons, E.g., sex, slavery, buying and selling crops and goods. (T. Barnes) (1976)
