Fray Hidalgo takes testimony of fray Gonzalez concerning Apache peace negotiations and his dispute with capitan Flores. Fray Gonzalez emphasizes poor state of presidio, including lack of supplies, arms, horses, trained men, and notes widespread illness among presidial soldiers throughout Texas.
