Summary
Documents concerning information given from Garcia to virrey dealing with negotiations of gobernador from Nueva Mexico with the Comanches; relacion signed by the Cura Barraza containing the names of the Indian rebels who receive royal pardon and place they will settle. Relacion contains name of the rebel, where he is from, name of his Father, occupation, age, and rank within the rebel organization. Letter from Romero for Lomban informing him of a campaign against Apaches and deplorable situation of military armaments, some soldiers had to throw stones at Apaches. Romero reports to Lomban a baston that was taken from two dead Apaches and was supposed to belong to an Apache chief; letter from Lomban for virrey explaining that the troops of the north are weak in armaments. Summary
Copies of minutes and decrees concerning Corbalan's complaints because Indian Seris have been removed from the arable lands they had been given. Corbalan and Aragon's suggestion of allowing capitan Calixto to live in Aragon's Rancho San Antonio. Aragon asks Bucarelli to accept capitan Calixto's peace proposal. Indian Seri capitan Calixto has been hidden in the mountains together with the Pima Indians; and Calixto is said to be leading Pima Indians in order to fight against Spaniards. Emphasis is given by Aragon in Calixto's peace proposal, and he is willing to take him in to his Rancho San Antonio. (R. Gomez, November 1989)

Summary
All Seris except Chepillo and family flee Pitic on July 15, 1790. Chepillo imprisoned. Detachment sent to Cerro Prieto to find and reconcile ingrates, begin new reduccion. Since Seris aren't raiding, revealing location, troop can't find them. With Seris gone, Ugarte y Loyola cuts off supplies ordered by bishop of Sonora for Seri mission. Francisco, two envoys come to Pitic to negotiate better arrangement. Seris want independent nation, to trade fish, antelope with Spaniards for grain, to participate in christianity only when they want. No deal made, but Seris start appearing for mass at Banamichi. Mora named missionary there. Seris slowly trickle back to Pitic. Occasional brief references to plan for staging campaign against frontier Apaches. 450 men, including Opatas, Pimas reserved for fighting. (A. Dean, may 1989)

Very few rebel Seris left. 3 Tiburones ask pardon and that their nation be allowed to remain on Island. Spaniards agree as long as several of their leaders come to make peace. No Seris left on Tiburon mas que tal qual que esta Casado y aliado con familias del Pais. Seris state Vipisi and Pima followers joining Cueras in Sierra de las Espuelas and offer to lead Spaniards to them. Guided by Chrisanto and 2 other Seris, Bergosa and 60 soldiers pursue Pimas, who flee into mountains. 4 rebels, 3 women, 3 children killed, 6 captured. Horses recovered. Two long letters discuss very generally how bellicose or peaceful several tribes are, their locations, who has dealt with them, how successfully.
